DISCLOSURES
GlōTerrapy is rooted in nature and made for real-life self-care — but we also believe in being clear and upfront. This Disclosures page is here to help you use our products confidently and safely, especially if you have sensitive skin, allergies, or specific wellness needs. It also explains what our products are (and aren’t), so you always know what to expect before you shop.
If anything feels unclear or you have specific questions, reach out anytime — we’re always happy to help.
Disclosures
Welcome to GlōTerrapy. We’re all about intentional, holistic self-care made with nature-forward ingredients and thoughtful formulas. To keep things clear (and to protect both you and our brand), please read the disclosures below before purchasing or using our products.
1) For external use only
Unless a product is clearly labeled as food-grade and intended for ingestion (most of ours are not), GlōTerrapy products are for external use only.
Do not use on:
-
eyes or inside the mouth/nose
-
broken skin (unless the product specifically says it’s okay)
-
deep wounds, burns, or serious skin conditions that need medical care
If irritation occurs, stop use and rinse with water.
2) Not medical advice
GlōTerrapy shares education and traditional ingredient information for general wellness and self-care. Nothing on our website, labels, social media, or messages is medical advice.
Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. If you have a medical condition, are under medical care, or have questions about symptoms, please talk to a licensed healthcare professional first.
3) Sensitive skin + patch testing (please don’t skip this)
Even natural ingredients can trigger reactions.
Before using any new product:
-
do a patch test on a small area (inner arm is a good spot)
-
wait 24 hours
-
if redness, burning, itching, or swelling happens, don’t use the product
4) Allergy disclosure (nuts, botanicals, beeswax, etc.)
Our formulas may include ingredients that commonly cause sensitivities, including (but not limited to):
-
nut-derived oils/butters (like sweet almond, shea, etc.)
-
botanicals/herbs/plant extracts
-
beeswax and other bee-derived ingredients
-
essential oils or natural fragrance components
You are responsible for reviewing the ingredient list and avoiding anything you know you’re sensitive to. If you’re unsure, message us before ordering and we’ll help you choose.
5) Essential oils + fragrance sensitivity
Some products contain essential oils or natural fragrance blends, which may not be suitable for everyone.
If you are:
-
pregnant or breastfeeding
-
highly sensitive to scent
-
shopping for a child
-
shopping for someone with asthma or migraines
…choose fragrance-free options when available, or consult a qualified professional before use.
6) Pregnancy, nursing, children, and medical conditions
We love gentle self-care, but some ingredients aren’t a match for every season of life.
If you are pregnant, nursing, buying for children, or managing conditions like eczema, psoriasis, allergies, or other sensitivities:
-
check with a qualified healthcare professional before use
-
start with fragrance-free and minimal-ingredient products whenever possible
7) Product results vary (because bodies are not one-size-fits-all)
Everyone’s skin, scalp, and body chemistry is different. Results depend on many things like sensitivity, routine, environment, diet, stress, and consistency.
We can share what ingredients are known for traditionally and how to use products well, but we can’t guarantee specific results.
8) Handmade + small batch variation
Our products are handcrafted in small batches. That means you may notice natural variation in:
-
color and texture
-
scent strength
-
botanical appearance
-
design/tops on soaps
These variations are normal and do not affect the intended use, unless otherwise stated.
9) Storage + shelf life is on you after delivery
To keep products fresh:
-
store in a cool, dry place
-
keep water out of jars (use clean, dry hands or a scoop)
-
avoid heat/sun exposure (especially oils, butters, and balms)
Natural products can change in heat and humidity. We can’t be responsible for melting, sweating, or texture changes caused by storage conditions after delivery.
10) Candle and wax melt safety (if you sell these)
If you offer candles, wax melts, or anything flame/heat related:
Use at your own risk. Always:
-
burn within sight
-
keep away from kids, pets, curtains, and flammable items
-
keep on a stable, heat-safe surface
-
never leave a candle burning unattended
-
follow the care card instructions
GlōTerrapy is not responsible for damage, injury, or loss caused by misuse or failure to follow safety instructions.
11) Photos, lighting, and product appearance
We do our best to show accurate product photos, but screens and lighting vary. Actual color may look slightly different in real life.
12) Third-party links and content
If our site links to other websites (blogs, studies, tools, or partners), those are provided for convenience. GlōTerrapy does not control or guarantee third-party content, claims, or policies.
13) Limitation of liability (plain-English version)
By purchasing and using GlōTerrapy products, you agree you’re using them at your own discretion and responsibility.
GlōTerrapy is not responsible for:
-
allergic reactions or sensitivity responses
-
misuse of products
-
failure to patch test
-
ignoring ingredient lists or warnings
-
injuries or damage related to candle/flame/heat products
-
storage-related product changes after delivery
If you have concerns, please reach out before ordering so we can help guide you to the safest option for you.
