WHY I STARTED GlōTERRAPY

Because nature provides everything we need.

I learned the importance of intentional self-care the hard way. Like many of you, I struggled with sensitive skin, restless sleep, and high stress levels caused by long workdays, daily life stress, and the kind of burnout that quietly wears your body down. Like many people, I ignored the signs, convincing myself that pushing through exhaustion was normal. Over time, I realized that chronic stress was affecting my eczema, digestion, energy levels, and overall well-being.

Over time, I realized my stress wasn’t just mental—it was showing up in my skin and throughout my body. Eventually, my body made the decision for me. My eczema flares spiraled out of control—my skin became something I felt I had to hide. The scars, dry patches, and wounds from constant scratching took over my legs to the point where I stopped wearing shorts and skirts altogether. Around that same time, my digestion became a daily struggle, I developed alopecia, and my nervous system was at the breaking point. I cycled through doctors and prescription after prescription with little or no relief, and I was exhausted from trying.

Growing up, I watched my mom lean on nature’s wisdom in the most practical way—not as a trend, but as a lifestyle. She always had a blend for a bad cold, something for aches and pains, and a plant-based tip or trick for stressful seasons, anxiety, or restless nights. She knew which plants to use, how to blend them, and how to bring out what they had to offer—with care and intention.

During that season in my life, struggling with all the stress, one of my daughters reminded me of the power of holistic medicine. That’s when I turned back to my roots. I made my first balm in my own kitchen—no lab, no fancy formula—just holistic herbal medicine and natural remedies for a body that needed support desperately. Within days after I started using the blend I made, the itching stopped. By 30 days, the deep scars that had taken over my legs were visibly clearing. Today, you can’t even tell they were there.

That moment changed everything. From then on, I didn’t want quick fixes or random online recipes—I wanted to understand ingredients, learn herbalism in a deeper way, and build a holistic approach to caring for my body and sensitive skin. What began as a desperate search for comfort became a genuine love for natural wellness—and that love is now the heart of GlōTerrapy.

That belief still guides everything we create: thoughtful formulas inspired by traditional herbal wisdom, made with intention—because nature really does provide what we need when we learn how to use it.

Because we deserve better.

Most of us use commercial products every single day—on our skin, in our hair, and throughout our home. Soap. Lotion. Deodorant. Skincare. Room sprays & diffusers. Candles. The “everyday essentials” we barely think about become part of our routine, our environment, and our bodies. The problem is that so many of those options are packed with harsh chemicals and synthetic fragrance blends that can irritate sensitive skin, trigger allergies, and throw off our natural balance.

I wanted better—products that felt clean, intentional, and supportive, not overwhelming. Something more natural and holistic that let me care for myself without paying for it later with flare-ups, headaches, or irritation. I needed everyday essentials that actually nourished my body, brought peace of mind, and extended into my home through cleaner, gentler choices.

I learned the importance of intentional self-care the hard way. Like many of you, I lived in long workdays, constant stress, and burnout that stretched my health thin. My eczema, along with other issues, flared badly. Desperate for relief, I was forced to slow down and do better. That’s when GlōTerrapy began—before I even had a name for it. Not spa-day self-care, but real-life care: for sensitive skin, tired bodies, overstimulated minds, and the everyday need for comfort, balance, and a healthier kind of glow.

Rooted in nature and its holistic power, GlōTerrapy was born from the need for everyday products that actually support wellbeing. Not spa-day self-care, but the kind that meets real life — tired bodies, sensitive skin, daily stress, and the need for comfort and balance. Handmade essentials for real skin needs, everyday wellness, and moments of calm that truly matter.

Because the products we use and how they're made matters.

Handmade it allows space for intention, care, and awareness in every step — from choosing ingredients to formulating, infusing, and creating products that serve a real purpose.

GlōTerrapy products are not made just to look pretty or smell good. They are thoughtfully crafted to support everyday self-care and wellness — for real skin needs, tired bodies, and overstimulated minds. I focus on creating products that bring comfort, balance, and relief by working closely with natural ingredients, making my own oil infusions, and continuously learning how to create gentler, more effective alternatives.

Each formula is developed with balance, gentleness, and purpose in mind — whether it’s a soap that moisturize and cleanse, a herbal balm or salve that brings relief and comfort, skincare that help us glow without toxic, or clean aromatherapy by soy-coco candles, room sprays and reed diffuser without causing allergies and are safe for our pets. Handmade allows me to stay connected to the process, to the ingredients, and to the intention behind every product — ensuring that what you’re using on your skin and in your home is something I trust for myself and my family.

Because it became my therapy — and brings me joy & purpose.
GlōTerrapy was born during a season of uncertainty. I had lost my job, and with it, the job stability I had known for years. But what I gained was faith — faith that God had a better plan for me, and that this wasn’t the end. With the little I had, I started this business, because I believed I was being called to build something new. Deep down, I knew I wasn’t meant to recycle my old lifestyle and career — I was meant to write something new. Starting with a new chapter, one rooted in faith, healing, creativity, and intention… and one that would bring more than I could ever imagine.

Those who know me know that creating brings me joy. But even deeper than joy, this new chapter of creating became my therapy — a space where I can breathe again, create with purpose, and pour love into something that supports others too.

Every product we make is crafted with intention, prayer, and care. GlōTerrapy is my reminder that sometimes the hardest seasons don’t break you… they build you.

WHY CHOOSE HANDMADE?

Handmade isn’t about being small — it’s about being intentional.

At GlōTerrapy, we stay connected to every ingredient, every formula, and the purpose behind what we create.

Our soaps are crafted using the cold-process method, which naturally retains glycerin — a skin-loving humectant that helps cleanse without stripping your skin’s natural moisture. Each bar is cured for 4–6 weeks to fully develop into a gentle, long-lasting soap. We carry that same intention into everything we make, using organic herbs and botanicals, in-house oil infusions, and nourishing butters and oils.

Non-toxic ingredients. No harsh chemicals. No synthetic fragrances.

Choosing handmade means choosing products made with awareness — for real skin needs, tired bodies, daily stress, and everyday wellness.

Ready to choose better—and experience the difference of handmade, holistic self-care essentials for your body, your skin, and your home?
