WHY I STARTED GlōTERRAPY

 

Because we deserve better.

Most of us use commercial products every single day—on our skin, in our hair, and throughout our home. Soap. Lotion. Deodorant. Skincare. Room sprays & diffusers. Candles. The “everyday essentials” we barely think about become part of our routine, our environment, and our bodies. The problem is that so many of those options are packed with harsh chemicals and synthetic fragrance blends that can irritate sensitive skin, trigger allergies, and throw off our natural balance.

I wanted better—products that felt clean, intentional, and supportive, not overwhelming. Something more natural and holistic that let me care for myself without paying for it later with flare-ups, headaches, or irritation. I needed everyday essentials that actually nourished my body, brought peace of mind, and extended into my home through cleaner, gentler choices.

I learned the importance of intentional self-care the hard way. Like many of you, I lived in long workdays, constant stress, and burnout that stretched my health thin. My eczema, along with other issues, flared badly. Desperate for relief, I was forced to slow down and do better. That’s when GlōTerrapy began—before I even had a name for it. Not spa-day self-care, but real-life care: for sensitive skin, tired bodies, overstimulated minds, and the everyday need for comfort, balance, and a healthier kind of glow.

Rooted in nature and its holistic power, GlōTerrapy was born from the need for everyday products that actually support wellbeing. Long before GlōTerrapy had a name, nature was already part of my life. Growing up, I watched my mom lean on nature’s wisdom in the most practical way — not as a trend, but as a lifestyle. She always had a blend for a bad cold, something for aches and pains, and a plant-based “tip and trick” for stressful situations, anxiety or restless nights. She knew which plants to use, how to blend them, and how to pull out what they had to offer — with care and intention.

When my eczema got out of control, and I got tired of doctor's visits and prescriptions that didn’t work, that foundation is what pushed me to turn to nature and research deeper into herbs and plant-based alternatives. I didn't want just a quick fix or just follow an online recipe. I wanted to understand ingredients, learn more about herbalism, and build a true holistic way of caring for my body and sensitive skin. What started as a desperate search for relief became a genuine love for natural wellness — it’s now the heart of GlōTerrapy.

That same belief guides everything we create: thoughtful formulas inspired by each ingredient’s traditional properties, made with balance, gentleness, and purpose — because nature really does provide what we need, when we learn to use it.

Each formula is developed with balance, gentleness, and purpose in mind — whether it’s a soap that moisturize and cleanse, a herbal balm or salve that brings relief and comfort, skincare that help us glow without toxic, or clean aromatherapy by soy-coco candles, room sprays and reed diffuser without causing allergies and are safe for our pets. Handmade allows me to stay connected to the process, to the ingredients, and to the intention behind every product — ensuring that what you’re using on your skin and in your home is something I trust for myself and my family.

Because it became my therapy — and brings me joy & purpose.
GlōTerrapy was born during a season of uncertainty. I had lost my job, and with it, the job stability I had known for years. But what I gained was faith — faith that God had a better plan for me, and that this wasn’t the end. With the little I had, I started this business, because I believed I was being called to build something new. Deep down, I knew I wasn’t meant to recycle my old lifestyle and career — I was meant to write something new. Starting with a new chapter, one rooted in faith, healing, creativity, and intention… and one that would bring more than I could ever imagine. 

 

Those who know me know that creating brings me joy. But even deeper than joy, this new chapter of creating became my therapy — a space where I can breathe again, create with purpose, and pour love into something that supports others too.
